Carol M. Noren is professor emerita of preaching at North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, and currently serves as adjunct faculty and director of the school’s Doctor of Ministry in Preaching program. A graduate of Augustana College (B.A.) , Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Princeton Theological Seminary (Ph.D.), her ordination is in the United Methodist Church. She served inner-city and suburban churches in the United States and England prior to doctoral study. Before coming to North Park, she was on the faculty of Princeton Theological Seminary and Duke University Divinity School, and has been visiting professor at Stockholm School of the Theology, Iliff School of Theology, and Theological Hall-Ormond College in Melbourne. Dr. Noren is a member of the Academy of Homiletics, was on the board of The Liturgical Conference for many years, and is a contributing editor to Preaching magazine. She is the author of numerous books and journal articles, and is currently working on a biography of a 19th century immigrant preacher in the United States.
